The Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus) is a common bird on European freshwater lakes. This 46 to 51 cm long bird preys on fish, which it pursues by diving. This bird is an adult and has the unmistakable summer plumage on its head. Zonhoven, Belgium, 20080618
