A breeding adult Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) is foraging on the banks of the Gard River near "Pont du Gard". An adult Little Egret of the garzetta subspecies is between 55 and 56 cm long, has a wingspan of 88 to 106 cm, and weighs between 35 and 55 kg. During the breeding season, the all white plumage is enriched with 2 long nape plumes and flimsy feathers on the back and breast. The long black legs end in yellow feet.
